Anodized Aluminum Voice Coil Former
Rockford Fosgate subwoofers use anodized aluminum voice coil formers that provide superior heat dissipation (up to 100° at full power levels). Unlike traditional plastic substitutions, aluminum acts like a heat-sink to quickly dissipate thermal build-up on the voice coil. This keeps subwoofers cool during high SPL conditions.
CEA-2031
Power handling on Rockford Fosgate speakers conform to CEA-2031 industry standards. This means your speaker has the capacity to handle power under continuous damand, not instantaneous power handling, that over time, can damage voice coils.
Flex Fit Basket
The Flex Fit frame utilizes slots (where feasible) instead of single screw sized holes. This allows slight adjustment of the speaker when mounted.
Stitched Tinsel Leads
Multipoint "periodic" stitched lead wire technique reduces the mass of each tinsel lead and spreads stress and strain over a greater area, significantly improving the reliability and performance of the subwoofer.
These stitched tinsel leads withstand extreme duty cycles, fatigue and high current that is critical to robust design.
SWIFT Terminals
Removing and inverting the center plug, a Series or Parallel wiring configuration is accomplished. The removable impedance selection jumper also provides fused protection in severe overload conditions.
"VAST" Surround
The Vertical Attach Surround Technique significantly increases a speaker's effective radiating cone area without complicated installation issues. The result provides up to 25% more effective radiating cone area for the same model speaker.

I bought this sub through another dealer but holy hell it pounds like CRAZY! I had the volume on my head unit set to 5 and it was still shaking my mirrors with just one of them. If you want a sub that is built to be a pure ground pounder I would highly reccomend this. Be care full though, an amp that is too small will burn under its force, because I matched it with a 500 Watt fosgate amp and the sub fried it alive
