This 200 watt beast is also super efficient, thanks to the Bass Tubes Enclosure. No need to break the bank (or the car's electrical system) buying a 1000 watt amplifier. Recommended power for the BT1014 is any amplifier 100 watts and up.

Grill
The grill is both decorative and protective, preventing the Subwoofer from accidental damage from other items, such as golf clubs, groceries or book bags that might be tossed into the cargo area where the Bazooka Woofers are typically mounted. -
Woofer
Bazooka's highly efficent, customized woofers are specifically designed and reinforced for use in the Bazooka Bass Tubes enclosure, producing a pure piston action and generating the maximum bass output possible. -
Edge Roll
All Bazooka Woofers used in Bass Tubes enclosures feature large, high excursion, lightweight foam edge rolls to maximize their efficiency and overall bass output. -
Tube Enclosure
A tube is a natural pressure vessel, and Bass is about pressure. The patented Bass Tubes enclosure creates a natural, uniform, hydraulic transfer of the Bass energy produced by the woofer. -
Port
The port opening between the Tube Enclosure and the Port Tube allows for efficient transfer of bass. Bass Tubes enclosures utilize "Bass Reflex" technology to take advantage of both the forward and backward of the woofer, wasting no bass energy. -
Port Tube
The bass energy created by both the forward and backward motion of the woofer are time aligned so that 100% of the woofer's output is concentrated into one output point. -
Acoustic Damping Fiber
The acoustic damping material helps lower the resonance of the enclosure and simulates an increased air space. -
Integrated Amplifier
The integrated amplifiers are performance matched to the specific woofers used in Bass Tubes enclosures to ensure that every watt of power is efficiently turned into bass performance. Having the amplifier integrated into the enclosure simplifies installation and eliminates power loss. -
Corner Loading
Bass Tubes enclosures are specifically designed to take advantage of the natural amplification characteristics that occur when a subwoofer is placed into the corner of a vehicle. The corner acts like a megaphone, substantially increasing bass performance.
Easy Install
As with all Bazooka Bass Tubes Enclosures, the BT1014 comes with straps to keep the sub securely mounted, while still making removal quick and easy if you need even more cargo room. Optional Chrome-Plated UMS Brackets make for a flashier look, as well as a more secure, permanent mounting when removal isn't a problem.
Double Voice Coil Version Available
The BT1014 is the single voice coil, 4 ohm Bass Tubes version. In single subwoofer installations, where getting your amplifier to 2 ohms is important, check out the dual voice coil BT1024DVC.

If you want something that is portable and want to install in any vehicle you got,I would recommend this subwoofer to anyone!You need a matching amp though to fire up this tube!

This is for BT1014 10 inch - Passive, no amp included.
Pros:
+Construction is solid. No paper, but a plastic/fiber mesh of some sort.
+This is a "long-throw" driver and it has more depth than most 10"s and more than quite a few 12"s. Like everyone else said, this sounds like at least a 12" sub, and it can be directional, just mount closer to your ears to make it thump louder
+ I've had this for 3 months and I bought it used. It's perfect and takes a little beating. (But I wouldn't suggest that for your ears
+ I drive a wrangler with soft top. With the top down I can share quality loud base with the car next to me (if I so desired) (Read: plenty loud)
Cons:
+ I had to drill a hole at the edge of the port to thread a security wire through it (so no one steals the sucker) There aren't great ways to mount / secure a round object. So this "con" doesn't really count

Ok, I used to have one of these subs and it doesn't hit as precise as I remember. It could be the difference in car size or even sub size (old one might have been an 8") but whatever the reason it just doesn't sound the same.
It sounds good, don't get me wrong - I was just expecting something a little more quick in how it responds.
I have a 4x50w amp powering this sub, the two rear channels (3 and 4) are bridged going to this and it hits hard. A lot harder than I thought it was going to, honestly. My installer put 42sq/ft of Dynamat in my Hyundai Accent in order to keep the vibrations down. I honestly can't turn the stereo up more than halfway or my ears start to bleed. I had it turned up loud (once) just to see what it was like and the whole car shook. This Bazooka Tube hits HARD with the right amount of juice going to it.
